My university also provides a large number of buses for us to get there. So it is comfortable for us to enjoy this “big dinner”.
It is the first time for most of us to visit Xinghai Concert Hall and enjoy this big performance. I want to say the Xinghai Concert Hall is one of the majestic architecture in Guangzhou. It is indeed wonderful not only in its appearance, but also in its inner establishment. The performance here of course was extremely excellent. There were nearly ninety artists in the ensemble, and more than one third was violins. This ensemble performed a variety of music, from traditional Chinese music to the foreign music. It was a successful performance. The applauses lasted a long time when the performance ended. We all believe that this is a good chance to watch this performance. It is no denyin

| | Why Are New Guitars So Expensive?! | | I have a small eBay business and I sell electric (and soon acoustic) guitars and parts.
Recently I received the catalog from Guitar Center, and nearly had a fit when I saw the prices of new Fender guitars. For a new "vintage" Strat they were asking $749.00 USD!!!!!
What the heck?! See here - the body is worth about $100, the neck about $75, and the rest of the hardware - barely $60. So why the tremendous markup?
Is it simply for the logo on the headstock? We all know by now that Fender does not "make their guitars" in the USA anymore, even though the logo says so. All the parts are manufactured in Korea or India, and assembled in the USA. I know for a fact that the prices I've quoted above are true.
Why do we guitarists put up with this kind of markup? I also play the violin, and have shopped around for nice German Spruce mid-century models. I can usually find one that is quality in every way for around $350.00 USD or lower. So tell me, why isn't there a bigger markup on older violins - something akin to the kind of markup on say, a 60's Strat? Why do we tolerate guitar manufacturers who are obviously bleeding us dry? I'm of the opinion that putting...
| | Lavender Diamond | | Has anyone heard this band? I was only recently introduced to them. Rolling Stone did an article on them and considered them akin to "The Carpenters (without anorexia) + Violins"... it seems like a relatively accurate portrayal.
Their Myspace tag is 'peace on earth forever'; the singer in the group, a woman named Becky Stark, stated in the magazine article that she couldn't find the type of music she wanted to listen to, so she started making it herself. Their songs are very hip... I fell in love with them because they are reminiscent of the old folk music that prevailed during the sixties and seventies, and they have a lighthearted innocence about them.
They released a new CD this year called "Imagine Our Love"; you can find them on Myspace and listen to a few of their songs, or go to their website, http://www.lavenderdiamond.com.
This isn't really a plug for them, although I'd like to introduce more people to their music. Has anyone heard of this band, and if so, what are your opinions?

| | What's the best literary piece you've read? here's mine... | | THE ARTISTI'm an old artist of the olden days,
yet inside I'm youthful, I join the parting ways.A long time ago, when people honoured different aspects of life, when thoughs went deeper, ways were decent and more paths led to nature... Ther lived thse wo tried in all ways to breathe a life into their actions and work, who ceased t age inside, because their creativity was forever-growing. Those who sought and found inspiration in every living thing, just one look of the eye and they saw the depth waiting to be seen, everything seemed alive. They yearned to capture tat so that more eyes could see what they saw. Could anyone? Ever? See the same they saw then?A long time ago, their lived an artist. is breaths were fast and deep as he walked the Eart in amazement. His hair flowed before his sparkling blue eyes as he made movements to reach the magic. Oh how often he was seen behind the canvas, lost inis tougts, lost in the beauty. All that seemed to lie there... in his eyes. Like now. In a rm so lovely that its every part seemed to be worth drawing, he sat, his eyes sliding from the wonderful wman posing before him t the sketch in his hands. He loved wen his ahnds were...
| | The Performance of Symphony Orchestra. | | We went to watch the performance of symphony orchestra in Xinghai Concert Hall in Guangzhou city on Mar’12 evening. This was hold by my university.
