| | Medical Coding and Billing from home: a possibility? | | I have had experience in medical coding and billing. I would love to pursue this career. I am a stay at home mom that would like to find a way to do this from home. I have found many sites claiming that you can do this from home you just have to pay several hundred dollars to start. i do not have the money to do this. I would like to find something that costs nothing to start and that is LEGITIMATE. Has anyone found anything like this. If not this, I would settle for data entry from home. Please share any resources or ideas. Thanks for your help! | |

It pays good and it can be a good business oppurtunity as well.I used to work as a medical transcriptionist. The salary was okay, the people I work with were okay, everything was okay, when time came that I had to quit for reasons I'd rather not mention.So, here's the thing. Now I am out of a job. I don't want to go back to my previous company and I am not interested in any of the companies here because, well, I want a Home Transcription job.Can anybody here help me with it? Suggestions? | | What are some of the online jobs you have done? | | I have done several things that I tried and have had great success. Some of them are selling product on eBay. I have been really doing well with that; this is where half of my income comes from. I believe the trick in effectively making a good income on eBay is finding a vendor that has great products with the right price to match, as well as using right timing. The best part, it only takes me 30 min to and hour a day to work on that, just placing auctions, I don’t have to worry about packing and mailing them out. My Vendor does that for me. It has been a nice and steady income for us. The other thing I do to work from home is transcribing Medical Records, which I do part time. Well, I do have a full time job as a Sales assistant outside my home that I enjoy, its just not very busy so that’s were Mylot comes in handy. I like to try different things online just to see if they are real, like Mylot, from what I see people saying it seems to be. Of course I don’t expect to get rich on here, that’s why I won’t spend to much time here. I found another website that has paid me and pays all its user for their actual time spend. I average $20.00 a day, it’s a nice place to just make a... | |
| | Transcribing as an on-line job | | I already tried transcribing before and it pays depending on the length of the audio your transcribing. The longer the audio, the more it pays. Before they will hire you, they will give you a sample audio that you will transcribe. If they are satisfied with it, they will hire you. You should also correct some american slangs, like for example, instead of typing "gotta", you should type "got to". It's quite difficult because sometimes you cannot understand what they're saying. Maybe because I'm not used to hearing American slang, because I'm a Filipino. At first it would be difficult, but later on you'll get used to it. I already stopped transcribing because there are only few audios left and the number of transcribers are getting more and more bigger. Do you know anyone who transcribes? What are your experiences? | |

I got sent a test in order to see if I was good enough for the job. And with this test were instructions. They asked me if I had a pedal and what other equipment I had in order to do the job. I have no idea what they are talking about. I've never transcribed before. Like I said, I thought all you did was type what was being said and all the equipment I needed was a keyboard and speakers. What the heck are they talking about a pedal and other equipment? What should I know about transcribing? | |
