| | Free! | | When driving down a road and spotting a sign that says "Free", do you slow down and check out what is there for the taking? My husband has now become a "Free" freak. A couple of weeks ago, he brought home a rocking chair, bird house, electric paint gun, a rocking horse, and some other wooden items. Today he is off to gather up some free insulation. Do you pull over and gather up the free stuff or pass it by? | |
| | earliest memories | | what are your earliest memories? I have three which become intertwined: I fall of a little rocking horse on the back porch, I get in trouble for pulling my sister's hair, and I remember my grandfather mourning the death of my grandmother...sitting in the backseat of their car. All of this would be when I was around three, maybe close to four. how about you? | |
| | Lolita and Gothic Lolita | | Lolita is a fashion subculture in Japan that is primarily influenced by Victorian children’s clothing as well as costumes from the Rococo period. Lolita has made this into a unique fashion by adding gothic and original design elements to the look. From this, Lolita fashion has evolved into several different sub styles and has created a devoted subculture in Japan. The Lolita look consists primarily of a knee length skirt or dress, headdress, blouse, petticoat, knee length socks or stockings and rocking horse or high heel/platform shoes. Often to emphasize the childlike look, teddy bears and dolls such as Super Dollfies may be carried.
There are various types of lolita, from sweet to gothic. Is there someone which is in Lolita? I'd like to be in, but's really expencive. is there someone who knows where to buy dresses at cheaper prices? A Bssb dress costs more than 200 dollars, I'm not that rich...
| | The downside to Baby Bottom Butter | | baby Bottom Butter is the latest beauty rage in the UK. Yummie mummies are smearing it all over themselves and a jar is now as rare as rocking horse poo. However, I have one, thoughtfully purchased by me for Mrs P1ke and "liberated" to my side of the bathroom. I don't use it on my face but on my very dry arms. It is completely marvellous as it has an olive and chamomile oils base and scented with vanilla. However, everything sticks to it when I am gardening. I've just swept up some dry leaves and my arms are now covered in sticky dust! YUK. However, it is a small price to pay for smooth and non itchy arms. What makeup disaster stories do you have to share with us please? | |

which you prefer most in your life and are you one who mix up motion and progress .are you without a goal

| | Land of Dreams II | | The continuing saga of the elven prince
His staff by hs side never moving an inch
His only friend in this world so vicious and mean
Full of despair and grief and endless bad dreams
Looking for a way out of this eternal hell
Longing for a life that's good and well
Stumbling and bleeding, his clothes tattered and torn
A doorway beckons, come in, be warm
He closes the door and climbs the stairs
Door's open with girls showing their wares
But one door locked, curiosity sets in
He casts his last spell, the door lets him in
Inside the room, he couldnt believe his eyes
Full of books and dreams, all shapes and size
He moves into the room to get a better look
When a muffled giggle escapes from a book
Following the sound, he uncovers its source
A fair maiden sitting upon an old rocking horse
Her childish laughter her innocent face
Seemed in this world, so out of place
She reaches out to him, he takes her hand
Her pure thoughts dream of the land
Amidst a twisting of magic and frenzy
They return to the land of plenty.
| | | Fancy some of my elk salami? | | Inspired by a fellow member's discovery of the joys of shearing a pygora goat, which was actually a title on Helium, I decided to explore the weird and wonderful titles myself. This morning, when I logged into 'My Helium,' one of the titles that came up in 'writers needed,' was 'Home made elk salami.'I live in Spain, and elks are about as rare as rocking horse sh*t on the Costa Blanca, so I passed on that one. What weird and wonderful titles have you come across on Helium? Did you write to them? Was it fun doing the research, or just mind-numbingly boring? Do tell! | |
