Finances are very low this year and I have quite a few people that I would like to make a little something for...ranging from children to older adults..give me some ideas please??? Nothing involving a sewing machine, mine just fried!.(which blew my plans for sewing things)..Please help!
Anyone have any good Christmas Craft ideas for Toddlers?
I am trying to find a wonderful, easy, fast Christmas Craft for my Sunday School class for Christmas. It needs to be doable in about 40 minutes. My children are young 2s through some young 4s. I usually have 12 to 15 children and 3 adults. I would love any ideas you have. Thanks!
Christmas Craft: Bead and Pipe Cleaner Ornaments
Christmas ornaments made from ordinary pipe cleaners and inexpensive acrylic beads are very pretty and easy to make. They look quite impressive yet are easy enough for small children to make. This is one Christmas craft idea to use again and again. Older people will enjoy making this Christmas craft, too, which can be varied to make a number of different sparkling ornaments for your Christmas tree.To make the bead and pipe cleaner ornaments, you need common pipe cleaners in desired colors and acrylic beads. Two types of beads are particularly effective when strung on pipe cleaners. One type are called sunburst beads, but are also known as paddlewheel beads, snowflake beads, or starburst beads. These beads have six faceted paddles spaced equally around a center that contains the hole for stringing. When several of these sunburst beads are strung consecutively, they fit against each other in an interlocking pattern. The other type of bead that is also effective for this Christmas craft is called the tri bead or propeller bead. It has three rounded bumps arranged around the stringing hole. Like the sunburst beads, the tri beads interlock when strung consecutively. ...
Santa Bath Towel
I found this pattern on one of the craft websites that I like to visit. The website is http://rubyglen.com/craftsholiday.htmCheck it out for more ideas.Make a Santa from a Bath Towel!By Susan DunnIt's so much fun getting ready for Christmas and Christmas guests. Want a last minute idea that will delight your houseguests, or be a great conversation-start for your party? Here's a quick and clever thing you can do for the guest bath, or to place in the bedroom of a child or adult visiting for the holidays for an extra suprise. It's something you can't buy in a store that will delight your visitors. It's a Santa made from a bath towel! To make it, you need a full size towel, a wash cloth, and a Santa hat!Lay the full size towel out flat and roll up both ends of the towel toward the center using the shorter edge, the top and botttom, not the sides. Make the rolls tight andf even. Then fold the ends up together making sure the center seam is on the outside.Next, gently pull out the end of each roll. Then pinch the two rolls together and pull them apart. You'll see it begin to look like arms and legs with the stomach in the middle! Hold the...
Yarn Doll Ornaments
Christmas Craft Projects - Yarn Doll OrnamentsWhat you need: Scrap yarn in green and red; cotton balls. What to do: 1. Cut yarn into 16 pieces each of red and green yarn about 14" long each. 2. Make two bunches of each color and placed them lengthwise in pile. Tie each bunch in the center with yarn of same color. 3. Fold bunches in half at center. 4. For the dolls head, insert a cotton ball (1" in diameter) below the center fold of one bunch. Place the other bunch over it to cover other side of cotton ball. Tie all yarn together just below the cotton ball, adjust the yarn if necessary to cover cotton ball head. 5. Divide yarn below head into separate sections for man's arms and legs and tie off the ends at wrist and ankles. For woman, tie off at center for a waistline effect in contrasting colors. This is a nice quick way to use up small amounts of yarn. It is an easy craft for the kids to do. They look great not only on the tree but also on gifts in the place of a tradional bow!
What's your favorite Christmas craft?
I am in the mood to make some Christmas crafts. I've seen lots on the Internet. This got me curious about what everyone's favorite Christmas craft is.I like the stain glass window projects. I also like making different kinds of Christmas wreaths to give as presents. What is your favorite Christmas craft? I look forward to getting some cool ideas to try.
Try this Christmas craft with your child and tell me how they like it
I thought up this craft to make with my 3 1/2 year old daughter. She loved it so much we had to make two more and then she still wanted to make more but it was time for bed luckily hehe. Materials needed: 1 white piece of construction paper 1 side of a cereal box glue two sheets green tissue paper red and gold buttons 1 star shaped button Glue the construction paper to the side of the cereal box that is a brownish color not the side that has the image printed on it. Using the glue draw a shape of a Tree and fill it in to spread the glue around. Cut up 2 inch squares on the tissue paper and have your child lightly crinkle the tissue paper and stick it to the glue. When that is all done put dots on the tissue paper where you want them to add the buttons. At the top the star goes.
Christmas tree craft for Kids using buttons
I thought up this craft to do with my daughter and my neice and nephew. They loved it. It turned out cute! They are magnets for the fridge. Materials you will need:Flat magnets 1 side of a cereal box a assortment of green and red buttons and one large yellow button glueOn the plain side of the cereal box, not the side with the image printed on it, draw a large triangle shape with glue. Fill it in so its completely covered. Have your children place green buttons on the glue until its totally covered. Then put drops of glue on top of the buttons that you want them to place the red buttons on. When that is all done Place the large yellow button on the top for the star! Let dry overnight. In the morning cut out the shape and glue the magnets on the back. Let dry for an hour or so and then let your child put it on the fridge. They will be so proud of themselves each day they see there artwork displayed on there!
Looking for Christmas craft ideas for limited resources
I am looking for fun and easy Christmas craft ideas that I can do with my kids. I have done the usual stuff with them, such as Santa's and Angels and whatnot for the wall or tree. I would like more ideas. I have looked online for ideas, but many of the crafts I find require materials that I do not have to work with. I'm on a limited budget this year and can not afford to go buy craft items that I do not have. My kids are ages 6 and 7. The materials I have are as folows: construction paper in red, green, yellow, blue, lt. blue, brown, black, purple, orange and pink; glitter in green, red, blue, silver, gold and multi color; plain white paper; crayons; tissue paper in lt. blue and yellow; and glue. I would like Christmas craft ideas that I can do with my 6 and 7 year old using only these materials. Any suggestions?
