| donuts, anyone?? | | who shares my love for donuts? my special favorites are krispy kremes, available only in megamall and cello's in katipunan... krispy kremes has the best melt-in-your-mouth donuts. undisputable. they're my number one. with cello's on the other hand, you get to choose your donuts and decide what creams and tops you put in. it's like creating your very own flavor. and then you can name it after you. hehehe... | |
| | Voltaire | | Does anyone here listen to music by Voltaire? I love the use of violins, cellos, the energetic drums, and of course his voice and lyrics are absolutely amazing. I'm intending to go see him this May when he's rounding out his Maiden Voyage tour with a few friends. If you haven't listened to him or even heard of him, what do you prefer instead? | |
| | Suggest Some Music For Me To Listen To | | I love music and would like some suggestions of musicians/bands to check out. Here is your chance to make a case for me to listen to your favorite artists.
So here's the deal leave me a list of maybe 2 or 3 artists/bands that you love and you think everyone else should listen to. If you can, tell me what their music is like, so I have an idea of what I'm going to be listening to.
I am just a huge music fan and I'm always looking for some new music to fall in love with. I am open to anything of any genre, though I do tend to like rock music the most, I am open minded and willing to check out anything that is good.
Thank you in adavance. I can't wait to hear of some of your favorites and to check them out for myself. If you want a couple suggestions from me:
Kill Hannah - They are a dancey rock band. If you like bands like Garbage, Placebo, The Killers then you might want to check them out. A good song to check out first:Kennedy. A couple others:Boys And Girls,Lips Like Morphine.
Rasputina - They are a 'cello rock' band. They make cellos sound so awesome. They have some really great live covers and original songs. Some of my favorites:... | |
| | cello unknown | | barely anyone knows what a cello is help me spread the word of cello and post a comment | |
| | What instruments can you play? Or what do you want to play? | | I have been taking piano lessons for just over two years now. the piano is my favorite instrument. It can be very simple to play yet had endless possibilities.I like a lot of other instruments- horns, violins, etc. I would play them if I could but they are too expensive for me right now. What's you favorite instrument, and what if any can you play? Here's a partial list to get you thinking: piano, guitar, horns, drums, flutes, violins, cellos, saxophones... | |
| | Handel's Messiah | | As some of you know, I sing in the Walker County Christian Chorus and we put on a concert of Handel's Messiah on the first Monday Night in December every year. We did this concert last Monday Night at the local First Baptist Church and I'm happy to say that it went very well. I had a solo and I'm glad to say that it went well, too. I'm going to be truthful and say I did make a few mistakes but in all my years of performing, I've learned that the audience doesn't know it unless you try to correct it. You just have to keep going. I did everything that several mylotters said to try to keep from getting sick and I'm happy to say that it worked. "Messiah" is actually another name for Jesus Christ. The Messiah in this case is an oratorio written by G.F. Handel in 1741. It includes songs about Jesus's birth, which is the Christmas portion, his life, and his death. We do songs like "And The Glory Of The Lord", "And He Shall Purify", "O Thou That Tellest Good Tidings To Zion". The songs from his life include songs like "Behold The Lamb Of God", a medley of "Surely He Hath Borne Our Griefs", "And With His Stripes We Are Healed", and "All We Like Sheep Have Gone Astray". The songs about his... | |
