Do you consider yourself an artist?
When I was a kid I used to draw lots of things. Ive already used almost all kinds of drawing items. In my highschool, I've been reading lots of books from poetry, literature, short story and drama. I made some poem before and it make me proud everytime I finished one. I also love to look paintings in the art books and dream to make one someday. In my college days I been fascinated with guitar and singing. I made some compositions, but too bad I lost my note that contains it. Thinking of this, it makes me realized that I've got an artistic mind. So I consider myself as an artist in heart and mind. How about you? Are you an artist?
Surprise Money! AniZona Con Will Bring Me More Joy Than I Thought
I will admit it. I love surprise money. And when I logged into my Paypal account to find not a couple of dollars but fifty six dollars, I was thrilled. Yes, Mylot paid me early again.I'm hoping to have over a hundred in my Paypal account by the end of February. As most of you know, I have a convention coming up in April. And everything I earn here and through Associated Content will be going to my Con Madness Fund. For those who aren't familiar with Anime Conventions, there's a dealer's room with dozens of tables from all manner of retailers. Manga, DVDs, cosplay items, doujinshi, action figures, OSTs, art books... everything you could possibly imagine. And with no anime stores in my area, AniZona con is my one shot at getting all that merchandise I adore without dealing with shipping and handling.I expected to be going to the con mostly broke - which is fine, I'm still cosplaying and there are some voice actors I want to get autographs from - but now I'm feeling very pleased that I will actually be able to get shopping done as well!Fingers crossed that my February payout is as good as January's!
Has anyone else out there lost their ability to draw something recognisable?
I used to draw a lot in school(and write)and especially liked drawing with pencil and black pen. Sometimes I would draw things that even amazed me, other times I couldn't draw the sides of a box with a ruler(LOL okay exaggeration but you get my point:)but most of the time I could draw things and you would know what they were. I did art in high school but didn't really do anything amazing or anything like that. I read art books and how to improve and got a lot better at working wit h different things and trying paint and colour instead of just black pen and pencil! But I stopped drawing since I had children and now when my children ask me to draw something I can barely manage a flower and most of the time my eldest child says "What are you drawing Mummy? What is that meant to be? LOL. Im I just rusty or was I just able to draw when I was younger?LOL
How I became a coffee addict.
Hi...my name is inked and I'm a coffee addict. It started off simply enough. I was introduced by a friend I used to work with...I'll call him Timmy H. I'd arrive at work early every morning and there would be Timmy brewing up a fresh pot of coffee.. "care for a cup?", he'd say "no thanks...I don't really like coffee." "you haven't tried my coffee, it's delicious" I smile and take a half cup, just to keep hime happy...he's a nice guy....BOOM, I'm awake, I mean really awake. The rest of that first week I had a half cup of coffee every morning with lots of sugar...to take the edge off a little. By week 2, I'm carpooling with Timmy and moving on up to a full cup. By the end of the first month I'm holding the filter in trembling hands and berating Timmy for not filling it quickly enough...I am also down to 1 sugar and have taken to scratching myself regularly for no particular reason. Three months in, Timmy has refused to allow me to ride in his car any longer and I am onto 2 cups in the morning (BLACK) and 1 on my lunch break....other people at work have started calling me Juan Valdez and asking me where I parked my donkey. By the end of the sixth month I have volunteered...
What is a gift you liked that you recieved at last christmas or your birhday?
I got a new set of dishes for my birhtday this year and a clock the year before. I got some books I wanted for christmas this year. I also got a set of glasses and two Henkles knife sets for this past year.
Coffee table books are obnoxious
I can't stand big hard book books, full of glossy pages of stupid, gaudy "pretty" picturesm or celebrity books, or even nature books. Why do people buy this junk?
Would you read a book for its cover art?
I'm really guilty of browsing a bookstore and always picking up the books with the best cover art. All too often, fancy art doesn't necessarily mean it's a good book. Granted, sometimes good books have good cover art too...
Things that shouldnt be shared with 80,000 mylot strangers.
hi, ive noticed some things here on mylot that i want to address here in this post. some things are just meant to be kept to yourself, and i see a lot of people sharing everything down to the color of their underwear here. why are there whole discussions on how many times you brush your hair a day? here is my list of things that don't really need to be shared with a bunch of people you don't know.~ That your husband/wife is fooling around on you. honestly, are you looking for advice when you post something like this? or just a little pity, some attention? If you really have to ask "what do i do", ask the therapist i'm sure the two of you will be seeing in the near future. ~ How many times a week you shave. seriously, i don't care. and no one else here cares either. your personal hygiene habits are your own business. ~ That you are sad no one bought you a present on your birthday. Why share that here? so we can say " awwww, im sorry to hear that! everyone is so insensitive!" No one here is going to buy you a present, so maybe you could tell your mother. i'm sure she will feel more sadness for you than we do. ~ How many phone calls you got today, and who called you and why....

Collecting - Disney Items
Do you collect anything Disney? I do! I collect Mickey Mouse everything, plush, jewlery, clothing, things for my home, and salt and pepper shakers. Oh I even have Mickey antenna toppers too! What about you? Do you collect Disney character items, art, books, clothing, stickers, etc, etc? If you don't collect anything Disney, if you've been to Disney World or Disney Land, did you buy anything that you really like?
